Manny Pacquiao Workout in LA


I’ll bet you a million dollars Freddy Roach is happy as hell to get out of the Philippines and back to the States. In case you didn’t know the Philippines has been hit with massive typhoons causing Katrina like flooding. I send my best wishes out to everyone who has been affected by this terrible tragedy. In the first episode of HBO 24/7 its obvious Freddy Roach did not want to be in the Philippines for training because of all the possible distractions. He even threatened to quit as Manny’s trainer! Whether it is the money sucking leeches, typhoons, haters,  or movie opportunities. The more money you make….the more problems you get. Right? I guess Roach finally got his wish. Remember….the big fight is approaching. Nov 14th. Live on HBO PPV.

Ron Artest Workout Video

I don’t know whats funnier…Ron Artests rap skills or the songs subject matter. Everyone wants to be a rapper these days. Scroll to the about the 3:20 mark to hear Ron Artest rapping about his drug habits. I guess that explains the Malace at the Palace. Props to Ron for making a somewhat inspirational workout video though. Regardless of the rap music and controversy. He brings one thing the Lakers lacked the past few seasons….physical toughness.

NBA Offseason Workouts

This is some great work from ESPN. A promo about NBA workouts in the off-season. Chris Paul, Brandon Roy, Chris Anderson, and company talk about their motivation to win an NBA championship. The audio production is menacing. The drums really hyped up this video. They show these guys do it all in their off-season training. Sprints, weight training,  conditioning….this video makes you want to get to the gym.

Chad Ocho Cinco Workout

This video is about a year old, but very interesting if you love football and weight training like I do. Who would have thought Ocho was so bulky? He is definitely not 6-4 225 lbs like he states in the video, but he is damn near close to it. Fast forward to the 1:15 mark to check out a great leg exercise. Single leg body squats. I doubt you could do one now, but could be an attainable goal in the near future. Look for Chad to have a bounce back season for the Bengals. They are a surprising 3-1. Look for them to just miss the playoffs.
